I edited the background of the photo to make the student look like he was in front of the school. Originally, the background was a classroom but I used the 'magic wand tool' on Photoshop to the remove it.
I used a medium shot in order to show detail while still showing enough for the audience to feel like they're looking at the person as a whole.

I used the colour red for my writing with a white outer line. This is because red is one of the main school colours. I chose to not use blue for the writing since the blue wouldn't show up as well on the background.
This is my first contents page. I have used the same font and colour scheme as my front cover to keep the magazine style consistent. The red double border shows that it is an important page to read. I have 2 photographs, both of which are medium shots.
